Qualifications: Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science or a related field. Graduation from a Physician Assistant Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Certification from the National Commission for Certification by Physician Assistants (NCCPA). New Jersey Licensed from the State Board of Medical Examiners-Physician Advisory committee. Prior experience in clinical medicine is preferred.
Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the Physician Assistant, Inpatient Medicine position is to provide healthcare services under the direction and supervision of a NJ Licensed Attending Physician at University Hospital. The Physician Assistant assists in direct patient care, obtains and records medical data, provides counseling and patient education and assists in those tasks delineated for physician assistants.
